The second process in building a fence is to determine the type of rail most suited to your project. There is also a choice of using 2 or 3 rails in a fence. If you are using 2 rails, a larger rail is used, however it is always better to use 3 rails because the centre rail gives more support to the palings and makes for a stronger fence. Moving the centre rail up also meets with pool regulations.
