5 Star's decking timbers in a nutshell

Merbau / Kwila: Imported from CoC certified plantations in South-east Asia, the Philippines, Solomon Islands, Fiji & Papua New Guinea then produced in Australia, Merbau / Kwila decking is favoured by many Australian’s as an exceptionally well performing decking board with a durability class 2 & a cheaper timber decking option than our Australian natural timbers.

Merbau / Kwila is pale to dark reddish - brown in colour & has a moderately course but even texture.          

Grown in coastal areas of QLD, VIC & NSW, Spotted Gum is ideal for use in Bush Fire classified areas because of its natural resistance to fire.

Spotted Gum has a durability rating of 2, displays colour variations from light to dark brown & has a moderately course texture.
 

Treated Pine: Although Pine timber has a naturally low resistance against fungi & insects, treated pine gives you very high protection however the durability of Pine decking will depend on the level of treatment.

DAR = Smooth finished timber, dressed on all surfaces.
H3 = Treated for exterior above-ground applications.
Non CCA = Does NOT contain any Arsenic.
